CCTV & video analytics
Effective CCTV goes far beyond mounting cameras on walls. We survey, design, and install complete surveillance systems — from network topology and camera selection through to commissioning and ongoing maintenance — all carried out to BS EN 62676 (Video Surveillance Systems for use in Security Applications). Where remote monitoring or police-response video verification is required, systems are additionally designed and registered in line with BS 8418.
We specify the right technology for each environment — 4K UHD IP cameras, low-light and thermal imaging, PTZ units — all integrated into a centralised Video Management System (VMS). Unlike standalone recorders, a modern VMS unlocks powerful analytics that transform your cameras from passive recorders into active, intelligent tools.
VMS analytics in practice — health & safety example
A manufacturing site configures its VMS to monitor a forklift exclusion zone. The moment a pedestrian enters the restricted area during operational hours, the system triggers an audible site alarm, pushes a real-time alert to the site manager’s mobile device, and automatically bookmarks the footage clip for H&S review. Near-miss incidents are captured and acted on instantly — with a fully documented audit trail for regulatory compliance. No static camera or security guard could reliably replicate this across a large site.
Intruder alarm systems
A 24-7 SFD intruder alarm system is designed around your specific risk profile, building layout, and operational requirements. We survey, specify, install, and commission to BS EN 50131 — the European standard governing intruder and hold-up alarm systems — with the correct Grade and Environmental Class selected to satisfy your insurer’s requirements.
Remote signalling is configured and monitored in accordance with PD 6662, ensuring compatibility with a BS 5979 Category II Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) for 24/7 monitored response and, where applicable, police response under current NPCC protocols. Annual servicing and re-certification keeps your system compliant and your insurance policy valid.
Access control systems
We supply and install access control systems ranging from standalone door controllers and video intercom through to multi-site networked platforms with biometric readers. Every system is designed and commissioned in line with BS EN 60839-11 (Electronic Access Control Systems), with BS 7273 applied wherever access control interfaces with a fire alarm system for automatic door release or hold-open applications.
Permission structures, time-zone profiles, and credential management are configured to your exact operational requirements at commissioning. We support smart card (MIFARE / DESFire), PIN, mobile credential, and biometric technologies — with full as-built documentation and user training provided at handover.
