Iain Bland is dedicated to positioning (PDS) as the market leader for the provision of network infrastructure and AV solutions and also determined to do so in tandem with the company's commitment to the East Riding region.

Iain purchased PDS at the time a struggling business, in 2005 - the business was in the process of making its staff redundant and closing the doors. Iain had never before owned his own business and it was something that no-one in his family had done before him!! In three years, with his positive approach to business and by putting together an experienced and winning team, Iain transformed PDS into a market leading, pioneering company with a full order book, huge plans for expansion and a turnover in excess of £2m.

Since then (2008) sales have more than doubled and with Iain at the helm, staff numbers have grown dramatically, from the period of his initial takeover when Iain worked alongside one engineer to the present day, with 30 plus employees and offices in Hull, London and Newbury.

Iain has fostered a culture of success throughout the company and also been responsible for creating a real awareness of the PDS brand and services the company offers. Whilst predominantly operating in Hull and the East Riding. PDS has worked with some of the region's biggest clients and this, in turn, has led to major contracts with clients beyond the regional boundaries.

PDS is well ahead of its business plan and has even exceeded Iain's high expectations by continuing to buck the economic downturn - PDS continues to make new contract wins across the UK of substantial value.

Outside of work, Iain's interests include spending time with his children Dougie & Murray, watching Leeds United, going to the gym and motorcycling around the UK & Europe.

Iain was the winner of Hull Daily Mail Young Business Person of the Year Award in 2010 and in 2013 was named as one of Insider Media's 42 under 42.

Glen has more than 25 years’ experience in the IT industry, he is a specialist in fibre optic network design and implementation and has managed multi-million pound projects. Glen is a shareholder in the business and the man who drives the day-to-day delivery to ensure everything runs according to plan.

Well organised and well informed Glen is an industry veteran with knowledge and expertise rarely matched.

His supervision ensures the highest standards are consistently achieved and maintained. He drives things forward to make sure the business is operated to the highest standards and in line with the company's mission statement, he continually strives to add value for the customer.

Wayne is a highly skilled and experienced individual who has a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Working closely with the company’s Purchasing Manager, Wayne carries out detailed analysis of the technology, resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects to ensure that on every occasion they exceed the demands of clients.

Wayne plans and directs the installation, testing, operations, maintenance and repair of all projects and installs – he is a details man who keeps PDS at the forefront on the scientific and technological advances in the industry.
